Similar Categories:  Beef, Corn, Kabobs

Serving Size : 6

Spicy Wine Marinade (see below)
1 1/2 pounds beef boneless top round steak -- cut into 1-inch
cubes
4 small ears corn -- husks removed
2 green or red bell peppers -- cut into 1 1/2-inch
pieces

SPICY WINE MARINADE
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
1 clove garlic -- finely chopped

Prepare Spicy Wine Marinade in shallow nonmetal dish or resealable plastic
bag. Add beef, stirring to coat with marinade. Cover dish or seal bag and
refrigerate, stirring beef occasionally, at least 4 hours but no longer
than 24 hours.

Brush grill rack with vegetable oil. Heat coals or gas grill for direct
heat (see "Grilling: Direct- and Indirect-Heat Grilling" tip).

Cut each ear of corn into 3 pieces. Remove beef from marinade; reserve
marinade. Thread beef, corn and bell peppers alternately on each of six
10- to 12-inch metal skewers, leaving space between each. Brush with
marinade.

Cover and grill kabobs 4 to 5 inches from MEDIUM heat 15 to 20 minutes for
medium beef doneness, brushing with marinade and turning frequently.
Discard any remaining marinade.

SPICY WINE MARINADE

Mix all ingredients. About 3/4 cup.
