Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1/3 cup crisco or butter or margarine
2 tablespoons corn syrup
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 1/2 cups confectioners sugar -- sift if lumpy
1 tablespoon grated orange peel
1/4 cup orange juice

Combine Crisco, corn syrup, salt, 1 cup of sugar and orange peel.

Add remaining sugar and orange juice alternately; mix until smooth.

Add more sugar to thicken, or juice to thin, if needed for good spreading
consistency.
