Recipe: Liver Pate

1/4 cup dehydrated minced onion flakes
1/2 cup water
1 pound chicken liver or beef liver, sliced thin
2 envelopes chicken broth and seasoning mix
Salt and pepper
1 t. poultry seasoning
Soak onions in 1/2 cup water 30 minutes. Combine onions and liver in a a
nonstick pan. Cover and steam until liver is done, about 15-20 minutes. Add a
little water during cooing if liver becomes too dry. Transfer liver, onions and
liquid in pan to a blender and blend until smooth, or put through a food
chopper. Add remaining ingredients. Serve chilled. Makes 2 servings for lunch.
Serving suggestion: Arrange pate in scoops on lettuce leaves. Garnish with thinly
sliced onion.
