Recipe: Abm - Garlic - Pepper Potato Rolls

Similar Categories:  Abm, Garlic, Pepper, Potato, Rolls

(1 1/2 lb. loaf)

1 egg plus 1 yolk, room temperature
4 1/2 T. milk plus 3 T., warmed
3/4 c. mashed potatoes
3 T. vegetable oil
1 1/2 T. sugar
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp. freshly-ground black pepper
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. bread flour
2 1/4 tsp. yeast

Placae all ingredients except 3 T. milk in bread pan in order suggested by
the bread machine manufacturer. Use dough setting. Lightly oil a 13 x9"
pan.

When dough is ready, remove from the bread machine and punch down. Cut
into 12-16 pieces. Roll each piece into a ball--it does not have to be
perfectly round. Place balls about 1/2" apart in baking pan. Cover loosely
and set in a warm place to rise until doubled, 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 375F. Lightly brush tops of rolls with remaining 3 T. milk.
Bake 12-15 minutes, until rolls are golden and a tester inserted in center
of roll comes out clean.
