Recipe: Almond Mushroom Pate

2 Tbsp. butter
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic; minced
1 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
1/2 tsp. tarragon
1 cup blanched whole almonds
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 tsp. soy sauce
1/8 tsp. white pepper
2 Tbsp. cream cheese
Saute onion, garlic, and mushrooms with butter until tender.
Stir in tarragon.
Pour into food processor. Add remaining ingredients and
process until smooth. Blend in cream cheese. Serve with
crackers or crusty French bread. Makes 1 1/2 cups.
