Recipe: Crab Cheese Fondue

1 lb. American cheese, cut into cubes
1/4 cup milk
2 T. margarine or butter
1 pkg. frozen crab meat, thawed, drained and chopped (6 oz.)
1/4 cup dry sherry or milk
2 T. chopped pimiento
Dash garlic powder
1 loaf (l lb) French bread, cut into cubes
In heavy pan, combine cheese, milk and margarine. Cook over low heat until
cheese is melted. Stir constantly. Stir in crab, sherry, pimiento, and garlic
powder. Heat thoroughly. Serve with bread cubes. Makes 3 cups cheese mixture, or
12 servings.
Microwave Directions: In medium microwave safe bowl, combine cheese, milk and
margarine. Microwave on medium for 5 to 8 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Stir every 2 minutes. Stir in crab, sherry, pimiento, and garlic powder. Mix
well. Microwave on medium for 2-3 minutes or until hot. Stir before serving.
Serve warm with bread cubes.
