Recipe: Quick Beef Stroganoff

1/3 c. corn oil
1/2 lb. ground beef
2 c. chopped onions
3 1/2 c. (6 oz. pkg.) uncooked noodles
3 c. tomato juice
2 t. Worcestershire sauce
2 t. salt
1/8 t. pepper
1 t. celery salt
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. sour cream*

Heat oil in deep 10" skillet or 3 qt. kettle. Add
ground beef and onions and sauté, stirring occasionally,
until lightly browned. Place uncooked noodles on top
of meat mixture. Mix together remaining ingredients
and pour over the noodles, taking care to moisten noodles
well. Do not stir. Bring to a boil. Turn heat low;
cover and simmer gently for 30 min. or until noodles are
tender. Makes 6 servings. *One half C. sweet cream mixed
with 1 1/2 t. vinegar, allowed to stand 5 min. can be used in
place of sour cream.
