A Different Salisbury Steak

3-Lb.Ground Chuck
2-Tbs.Slightly Heaping Of Sourcream Or Onion Chip Dip.
1 1/2-Tsp Of Sage,More Or Less To Taste.
1-Medium Onion Chopped Very Small-Optional.
1/4-Cup Of Seasoned Bread Crumbs
Salt And Pepper To Taste.

Mix all the above ingredients and shape in to flat oval patties and
fry in a little oil till browned on both sides. Then drain all the
grease from the pan and add 3-4 cans or jars of brown gravey; simmer
for about 1-1 1/2 hours on stove top. The longer its simmered the
more tender the patties become. Stir often so nothing sticks or
burns. Serve with mashed potatoes and corn. This is a kid pleaser.
Mushrooms may be added to the gravy if desired.
