Recipe: Banana Split Dessert

graham cracker crumbs
2 or 3 bananas
1/2 gallon Neapolitan ice cream
1 cup chopped walnuts
TOPPING:
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 pint whipping cream
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
Cover bottom of 11x15-inch pan with graham cracker crumbs. Slice bananas;
layer over crumbs. Slice ice cream in 1/2-inch slices and place over
bananas. Sprinkle with nuts and freeze until firm.
TOPPING:
Melt chocolate chips and butter in saucepan. Add powdered sugar and milk.
Cook until thick and smooth, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; add
vanilla. Cool. Pour mixture over ice cream. Freeze until firm. Whip
cream until stiff; spread on chocolate layer and sprinkle with crumbs.
Store in freezer. Remove 10 minutes before serving.
