Recipe: Alphabet Fruit Salad

Similar Categories:  Alphabet, Fruit, Salad

8 oz. alphabet pasta, cooked as directed on box
20 ounce can crushed pineapple, drain and reserve the juice
11 ounce can mandarin oranges, drain and reserve the juice
3/4 cup white sugar
2 eggs, beaten slightly
1 Tablespoon flour
8 oz. Cool Whip, thawed

Recipe
Cook pasta and drain well. Drain the fruit and set aside. To the
reserved juices of the fruit, add the sugar, eggs and flour. Cook
over low heat in a heavy saucepan until thickened, about 5-10
minutes. Pour over the cooked alphabet pasta, cover and chill
overnight.

The next day or prior to serving, add the reserved fruit and the Cool
Whip. Chill well.

This makes a very large salad and I can guarantee if you take it to a
barbecue or picnic, you will be coming home with an empty dish.
