Recipe: Awesome Baked Beans

AWESOME BAKED BEANS
1 tsp. butter
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup ketchup (preferably Heinz)
1 tbsp. yellow mustard
1 pouch Lipton Onion Soup mix
2 (16-oz. cans) original or bacon-flavor baked beans (preferably Bush)
4 strips bacon
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large skillet, melt butter. Brown the beef
with the Worcestershire sauce. When cooked through, remove from skillet and
drain fat.
In a large bowl, combine meat, brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, onion soup mix
and beans and place in an 8-by-8-inch baking dish. Top with bacon strips.
Bake, uncovered, for 45 minutes. If necessary, run under broiler to make
bacon crisp before serving.
