Recipe: Beef And Broccoli

3/4 lb. boneless beef sirloin or top round steak, 3/4" thick
2 Tbs. vegetable oil
2 cups broccoli flowerets
1 medium onion, cut into wedges
1/8 tsp. garlic powder or 1 clove garlic, minced
1 can cream of broccoli soup
1/4 cup water
1 Tbs. soy sauce
Slice beef across the grain into thin strips. In skillet, in 1 Tbs.
hot oil, cook beef until browned, stirring often. Remove. In
remaining 1 Tbs. hot oil, cook broccoli and onion with garlic until
tender-crisp, stirring often. Add soup, water and soy. Heat to
boiling. Return beef to skillet. Heat through, stirring
occasionally. Serve over rice.
