Recipe: Chocolate Fondue

Similar Categories:  Chocolate, Fondue

Serves 6

Ingredients
1 4-ounce blood orange
1 pint strawberries
1 peach
1 banana
1 teaspoon lemon juice, freshly squeezed
1/4 cup, plus 2 tablespoons unsweetened Dutch cocoa powder
2/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup skim milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon Grand Marnier liqueur, optional
2 tablespoons light corn syrup

Directions
Peel and separate the blood orange into sections. Hull the strawberries. Pit
and cut the peach into 12 wedges. Peel and cut the banana on the diagonal
into 12 slices; sprinkle with the lemon juice.

For the sauce: In a small nonstick saucepan, combine the cocoa powder,
sugar, corn syrup, and milk. Cook over medium heat for 6 to 7 minutes,
stirring frequently, until the mixture is smooth and glossy. Remove from the
heat and stir in the vanilla and, if desired, the liqueur.

Keep the fondue warm in a fondue pot or just bring to the table still hot.
Skewer the fruit on long forks or metal skewers and dip in the chocolate.
