1 8oz package cream cheese -- softened
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon dry sherry or milk
1 1/2 teaspoons curry powder
1/2 cup finely chopped chutney
Beat cream cheese, cheddar cheese, sherry, and curry powder with an electric mixer on low to medium speed until well mixed. Spoon onto center of serving plate; spread to make a 5-inch circle. Cover; refrigerate at least 30 minutes or up to 6 hours. Just before serving, spread chutney on top; serve with crackers and apple or pear wedges. Makes 2 cups.
