Recipe: Guacamole

1 ripe avocado, peeled and quartered
1 tablespoon fresh lime or lemon juice
1 tablespoon finely chopped red onion
1 tablespoon plain yogurt or sour cream
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/8 teaspoon Tabasco sauce, or to taste
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Process all the ingredients in a food processor (or blender) until the
mixture is smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust the seasoning.
Refrigerate in a covered container for at least 1 hour before serving.
Serve chilled or at room temperature.
Advance preparation
The guacamole will keep for up to 2 days in a covered container in the
refrigerator.
