Recipe: Honey Glaze Char Siu

Honey Glaze Char Siu
1 pkg Chinese barbecue seasoning mix
1/8 cup soy sauce From Your Local Store
1-1/2 pounds pork butt (spare ribs, chicken, etc.)
1. Combine Chinese Barbecue Seasoning Mix with 1/8 cup soy sauce and ¼ cup
of water, blend well.
2. Cut 1-1/2 lb pork butt into 1-1/2" X 2" X 6"(rectangle strip) pieces.
Marinate with marinade sauce from step (1) for 4 hours or longer
(overnight).
3. Preheat oven to 350F. Place pork on the rack above the baking pan. Bake
for 30 minutes, turn and bake for another 30 minutes until fully cooked.
Baste occasionally with marinade sauce (see cooking tip).
4. Baste honey to the cooked Char Siu if desired.
Cooking Tip: For better result, boil the remaining marinade sauce until
thicken and baste the thicken marinade sauce to the pork.
