Recipe: 3 Meat Stew

1 lb. beef -- cubed
1 lb. lamb stew meat
1/2 lb. chicken -- cooked
1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
2 carrots -- sliced
2 stalks celery -- sliced
6 new potatoes -- (6 to 8)
10 pearl onions -- (10 to 12)
10 mushrooms -- sliced
1/2 small green pepper -- sliced
1 can vegetable juice -- (6 oz.)
2 c. beef broth
1 bay leaf
pimento (optional)

Toss meats in mixture of flour, salt and pepper to lightly coat.
Brown meat in oil. Add vegetables to meat and stir to lightly
brown. Add juice, broth, bay leaf, and pimento if desired; bring
to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 45-60 minutes. Season
with salt to taste.
