Oven Stew 1 pound Stewing beef, cut up 1 Large onion, coarsley chopped 1 to 2 potatoes cut in cubes 1 to 2 carrots cut in cubes 7 1/2 ounces Tomato Sauce 1/2 cup Beef broth or bouillon 3/4 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon pepper Combine all ingredients in casserole or roaster. Cover and bake in 300 degree oven for 3 1/2 to 4 hours until tender. Serves 4 Note: I like to add couple tablespoons of dry tapioca...thickens the gravy in this stew...
