Recipe: Diabetic German Skillet Dinner

Serves 6 (1 cup)
16 ounces extra-lean ground sirloin beef or turkey breast
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 (15-ounce) can sauerkraut, well drained
1/4 cup water
1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
2 tablespoons SPLENDA Granular
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
2/3 cup uncooked instant rice
In a large skillet sprayed with butter-flavored cooking spray, brown meat
and onion. Stir in sauerkraut, water, tomato sauce, SPLENDA, and black
pepper. Add uncooked rice. Mix well to combine. Lower heat, cover, and
simmer for 15 minutes or until rice is tender, stirring occasionally.
