Recipe: A Different Oriental Salad

6 oz. slivered almonds
1/2 c. sunflower seeds
1 pkg. ramen noodles (discard seasoning mix)
1/2 c. melted margarine
Mix nuts, seeds and noodles in bowl. Pour margarine over and mix well. Pour into baking dish. Bake at 350F., 12 minutes. Watch carefully as it burns easily. Cool slightly.
Add and mix well:
4 green onions, chopped
2 lb. coleslaw mix (or use broccoli coleslaw mix found at the supermarket produce counter)
Dressing:
1/2 c. white vinegar
2 T. soy sauce
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. vegetable oil (not olive)
Stir sugar and vinegar together until mixed well. Add soy sauce and oil, mix well and toss with salad ingredients just before serving.
