Applesauce Chocolate Chip Cake
Why make a plain applesauce cake when you can jazz it up a bit with
chocolate chips.
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
2 c. applesauce
2 tbsp. Baking powder
2 eggs
1-1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2c. shortening
1 tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. salt
1 {6oz} package chocolate chips
½ c. chopped pecans
Combine first 9 ingredients in large mixer bowl and beat a high until
well blended. Pour into a greased and floured 13x9 inch pan. Sprinkle
with the chocolate chips and pecans. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40
minutes.
