Recipe: Six Layer Cookies

1/2 cup lightly salted margarine or butter
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1 1/3 cup sweetened, flaked coconut
1 - 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
Preheat oven to 350 .
Place butter into a 13" x 9" x 2" baking pan and place in oven for
3 - 5 minutes to melt (take care that it doesn't burn). Remove pan
from oven. Add, in the following order, a layer of graham cracker
crumbs, a layer of nuts, a layer of chocolate pieces, a layer of
coconut and a layer of sweetened condensed milk. Use the back of a
spoon to flatten each layer. Bake approximately 25 minutes or until
edges are lightly browned. Remove from oven and refrigerate at least
3 hours before cutting into bars.
