Recipe: Blue Ribbon Beef Nachos

1 lb. ground beef
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 can (16 oz.) refried beans
1 jar (16 oz.) salsa
1 can (6 oz.) pitted ripe olives, chopped
1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
1 green onion, chopped
2 T. chili powder
1 t. salt
tortilla chips (opt.)
sliced ripe olives (opt.)
chopped green onions (opt.)
tomatoes (opt.)
In skillet, cook beef and onion over med.
heat until meat is brown; drain. Stir in
next 7 ingredients; heat through. Serve
over tortilla chips. Top with olives, onions
and tomatoes if desired. Makes 6 servings.
