Recipe: Yam Bake

1 (40 oz) can yams, drained, and mashed
1/4 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 (8 oz) can crushed pineapple, undrained
TOPPING:
1 cup coconut
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup flour
1/3 cup butter, melted
Combine first 5 ingredients; spoon into a lightly greased baking dish (8 x 8-inch). Combine remaining ingredients and sprinkle over top. Bake at 350-degrees for 30 minutes or until golden brown. NOTE: You can use fresh yams, cooked.
