Recipe: Baked Brie In Puffed Pastry
Similar Categories: Baked, Brie, Puffed, Pastry
1 sheet of puffed pastry (pepperidge farm is what I use)
1 round brie (I have used the small and the large with the same amount of pastry)
Roll the pastry out so that it will cover the brie. Lay the brie on top of the pastry, bring the sides up and gather it all together and kind of twist the pastry so it stays all together. I have done it where I made the gathered part look like a gift package. I have also done it where I cut off some of the pastry and cut it out with a cookie cutter, flip the brie over so the gathered part is down and decorate the smooth part with the cut outs. Bake 350 for about 45 minutes (you can brush with an egg wash but I never have). It is best to let the baked brie rest for 1 - 4 hours so that is doesn't ooze everywhere.
