Recipe: Chicken With Chinese Black Bean Sauce

2 tablespoons sesame oil, divided
2 tablespoons sake
1/4 cup water
6 cloves of garlic, halved
1 tablespoon minced ginger
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoons Chinese black bean sauce
1 teaspoon Splenda Granular sweetener
1/4- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper (optional)
3 pounds assorted bone-in chicken pieces (legs, breasts, thighs), skinned,
fat trimmed
serving suggestion Pan-fried bean sprouts are a great Iow carb substitute
for the noodles or rice tra ditionally served with this dish. Or, serve
with your favorite stir-fried vegetables.
Add all ingredients to the slow cooker crock, except the chicken; mix well.
Add the chicken pieces and toss with the sauce to coat chicken thoroughly.
Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours.
