Recipe: All American Bbq Sauce

1 T Unsalted butter
1 Onion; finely chopped
3/4 c Ketchup
3 T Worcestershire sauce
2 T A-1 steak sauce
1 T Cider vinegar
3 T Brown sugar
1/4 c Water
1 ds Hot pepper sauce
Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium-low
heat. Add the onion; cook 5 minutes. Do not brown.
Stir in the remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling,
reduce heat. Simmer uncovered 20 minutes. Makes about
1 cup.
