Recipe: Chili Con Carne

1 cup hot-style tomato juice (or regular with a few dashes of hot
sauce added)
1/2 of an 8-ounce can (1/2 cup) red kidney beans, drained
1/2 cup cubed cooked beef
2 teaspoons dried minced onion
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/8 teaspoon ground cumin
1/8 teaspoon bottled minced garlic or dash garlic powder
In a small saucepan, stir together tomato juice, kidney beans, cooked
beef, onion, chili powder, cumin, and garlic. Bring to boiling.
Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, about 10 minutes or till slightly
thickened, stirring occasionally. Makes 1 serving - 310 calories per
serving.
