Recipe: Artichoke Mushroom Appetizer

Artichoke-Mushroom Appetizer
Yield: 8 Servings
2 Sticks margarine
1/2 c All-purpose flour
2 md Onions; finely chopped
4 Cloves garlic; minced
1 ts Salt
1 ts Pepper
1 ts Thyme
1 ts Kitchen Bouquet® browning
-sauce
8 oz Canned mushrooms; reserve
-juice
1 c Mushroom juice; add water if
-needed
1 ts Chopped fresh parsley
1/2 cn Artichoke hearts; diced
1 Loaf bread
Melt margarine, add flour and mix well and brown. Add onions and garlic and
simmer. Add salt and pepper. Add thyme and mushrooms and continue cooking.
Add liquids, browing sauce and parsley. Stir in artichoke hearts. Serve in
a chafing dish with slices of bread on the side.
